Paris - Day 3: Non-stop madness

What a day! We started off with a tour of another one of Paris' prestige department stores: Galeries Lafayette. Great store, but doesn't compare to Printemps in my eyes. It was beautiful inside and was absolutely HUGE. A good place to go shopping for anything and everything if you are ever in Paris.

Next stop, the Louvre. We took the metro and walked all the way there to find it was closed for that day! So since we were there I took a few pictures of my outfit. I am wearing a yellow blazer from Zara, striped black and white dress from Giani Bini, beaded necklace from Bloomingdales, and Michael Kors  nude oxfords.

Down about the Louvre, we headed off to our next exhibit: Louis Vuitton and Marc Jacobs. This was such an interesting and learning experience for me. The displays and history of Louis Vuitton are amazing. It gave me a new appreciation for LV and Marc Jacobs. Of course we weren't allowed to take any pictures, but I snuck a few on my phone when I could. This exhibit was one of the most interesting that I have been too. Marc Jacobs brings such a bold flavor to LV.

As long as the day seems already we headed off to yet another exhibit. First the Comme des Garcons "White Drama" and then Cristobal Balenciaga "Collectionneur de modes." Both being COMPLETELY different I still had a certain appreciation for both. Balenciaga showed some of the classics, one being the white gown above. I fell in love with this dress. Possible wedding dress paired with navy blue Viviers? I think yes. The next dress shown is Comme des Garcons. These displays were true artwork. I was amazed at the detailing and creative thought put into these garments.

To end the night we took a cruise down the Seine river. It was so relaxing and beautiful. I loved people watching and seeing the locals sit by the river drinking wine and enjoying the night. Paris is such a romantic city.
